The Business School Hosted the 2023 Winter Academic Forum for Doctoral Students
On December 14-15, 2023, the 2023 Winter Academic Forum for Doctoral Students of the Business School was held in a combination of offline and online mode. The forum invited Chen Jinliang, Deputy Dean of the Business School, Gu Leilei, Director of the Department of Marketing, Li Jiapeng and Liu Zixu, Assistant Professors of the Department of Strategy, Wei Chuang, Assistant Professor of the Department of Marketing, Lin Lin and Liu Wei, Associate Professors of the Department of Organization and Human Resource Management, and Ji Yueting, Assistant Professor thereof, Mou Shandong, Assistant Professor of the Department of Supply Chain and Operations Management, Dou Chao, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance and Financial Management, and Gao Zhennan, Assistant Professor thereof, as guest commentators; 17 doctoral students from all grades of the school reported their research results or research ideas at the forum.
According to the speaker's research topic, the forum was divided into four directions: entrepreneurship and strategic management, organization and human resource management, finance and financial management, and supply chain and operation management. In the forum, the presenters presented the background of the topic selection, the theoretical basis, the research design and the principal findings based on the current research, and put forward the difficulties and challenges encountered in the research process. After listening carefully to the reports, the commentators put forward specific revisions or enlightening guidance suggestions on the application of theories and theoretical analysis, research hypotheses, model construction, research methods, data sources and discussion of results for each study, so as to guide students to actively pay attention to the frontiers of the discipline and strive to expand the breadth and depth of research.
The Doctoral Academic Forum of the Business School actively fulfills the mission of the School, providing a platform for doctoral students to exchange ideas, share experience, enrich knowledge and promote academic progress, encouraging doctoral students to pay attention to major issues in China's economic and social development, organically combining China's management practice with cutting-edge management theories, and actively carrying out research in management.
