Li Jiapeng, a Young Teacher of the Business School Won First Prize in the 13th Competition of Basic Teaching Skills of Young Teachers from Institutions of Higher Education in Beijing, and Professor Zhu Fei Won the Title of “Excellent Instructor”
Recently, the 13th Competition of Basic Teaching Skills of Young Teachers from Institutions of Higher Education in Beijing (hereinafter referred to as the Competition for Young Teachers), hosted by the Beijing Municipal Committee of Education Work, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, the Beijing Municipal Education Union, and the Higher Education institutions Teacher Online Training Center of the Ministry of Education, concluded in Beijing. Young teacher Li Jiapeng from the Business School, Central University of Finance and Economics won the first prize in the liberal arts group and the Best On-Site Presentation Award, while Professor Zhu Fei won the Outstanding Mentor Award.
Li Jiapeng won the first prize in the 14th Competition of Basic Teaching Skills of Young Teachers at the Central University of Finance and Economics in May 2023 and was selected to represent the university in the 13th Competition of Basic Teaching Skills of Young Teachers from Institutions of Higher Education in Beijing (liberal arts category). This year's “Competition for Young Teachers” was the largest and longest-running event in its history, with 145 participants from 67 institutions of higher education in Beijing competing in the liberal arts category.
Li Jiapeng's course Enterprise Strategic Management was designed with a focus on practicality and practical application. Through a combination of industry-academia collaboration and complementary strengths, the course integrated strategic management theory with practical knowledge of corporate strategy. The teaching process emphasized the connection between theory and practice, aiming to achieve a unified understanding of knowledge and character development.
The Business School places great importance on the Basic Teaching Skills Competition for Young Teachers. Since May this year, the Business School has organized multiple training sessions for the participants, including the Teaching Committee, instructors, and experienced teachers. The training covered various aspects such as content selection, lesson plan writing, teaching aids preparation, blackboard design, teaching interaction, and language and body language.
The Competition of Basic Teaching Skills of Young Teachers from Institutions of Higher Education in Beijing is held every two years and has become a typical example and brand activity for teachers to practice their teaching skills and consolidate their teaching foundation.
