Central University of Finance and Economics High-quality MBA Development Seminar and 2023 Annual MBA Teaching Seminar successfully Organized


  On the afternoon of June 7, the “Central University of Finance and Economics High-quality MBA Development Seminar and 2023 Annual MBA Teaching Seminar ” organized by the Business School and MBA Education Center, Central University of Finance and Economics was successfully held in Room 202 of the Academic Auditorium. The seminar was hosted by Li Yuexin, Party Secretary of the Business School, Central University of Finance and Economics, and attended by Li Tao, Vice President of the Central University of Finance and Economics, Zhu Weilong, Deputy Dean of the Graduate School, Central University of Finance and Economics, Lin Song, Dean of the Business School and Director of the MBA Education Center, Central University of Finance and Economics, and Zhu Fei, Deputy Director of the MBA Education Center and Deputy Dean of the Business School, Central University of Finance and Economics. The seminar was also attended by MBA lecturers and supervisors, who engaged in in-depth exchanges on MBA teaching and high-quality development.

At the beginning of the seminar, Vice President Li Tao of the Central University of Finance and Economics delivered a speech. He expressed his sincere gratitude on behalf of the university's Party Committee to the teachers who actively participated in promoting the development of the MBA program and shared a few thoughts on the development of the university's MBA program. He pointed out that the MBA program of the Central University of Finance and Economics has always been committed to integrating the university's high-quality resources and implementing differentiated and internationalized development strategies, achieving fruitful results in running the program and gaining widespread social recognition, having become one of the most competitive and influential MBA programs in China.


He emphasized that in the face of the great changes of the century, the MBA program should seize the development opportunities in the post-pandemic era, continuously innovate the MBA talent training model, comprehensively improve the training quality, deepen the integration of interdisciplinary studies, and integrate top-notch educational resources to enhance students' comprehensive abilities and international perspective. In addition, we should face the difficulties and problems in the process of high-quality development, gather the strength of the whole university to overcome difficulties, promote the improvement of training quality to a new level, and leverage the characteristics of internationalization, marketization, and modernization of MBA education to ensure the continuous improvement of educational quality and seek rejuvenation of the characteristics of the MBA program while completing brand building and optimizing the quality of student recruitment. He stressed that the development of the Central University of Finance and Economics MBA program cannot be separated from the support of the university's teachers and students, and he looked forward to the Central University of Finance and Economics MBA program reaching a new level through everyone's joint efforts.

He pointed out that the university's MBA program has undergone comprehensive development over the past 20 years, with continuously increasing enrollment numbers and gaining widespread social recognition for its brand. The Graduate School has been actively promoting the university's MBA program and is very grateful for the strong support provided by the MBA program in promoting the university's graduate education. He noted that with the efforts of the teachers, the MBA program has provided a unique experience for MBA students in teaching and thesis training, leading to significant improvement in professional capabilities. He expressed his expectation for more opportunities to exchange ideas and learn from the teachers of the MBA program in the future and wished the Central University of Finance and Economics MBA program continued success in the era of change.

Lin Song, Dean of the Business School and Director of the MBA Education Center, Central University of Finance and Economics, delivered a speech and announced the high-quality MBA development program. Dean Lin Song first expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the teachers of the MBA program for their dedication and efforts in admissions, teaching, and student development. He pointed out that the Central University of Finance and Economics MBA program has seen an increasing number of admissions in recent years, demonstrating significant market potential, but also posing corresponding challenges in teaching and student development. He stated that in the face of the new requirements for business education in the era of development, the Central University of Finance and Economics MBA program needs further reflection and improvement in brand building, international accreditation, thesis guidance, curriculum adjustment, and textbook construction. This conference provided a platform for sharing wisdom among teachers, and it was hoped that through discussion and exchange on key issues, everyone would contribute ideas to promote the high-quality development of the MBA program, drive educational reform, and enhance talent cultivation.


Subsequently, Dean Lin Song announced the High-Quality MBA Development Program, which includes the Notice of Invitation for Bid of the Central University of Finance and Economics 2023 MBA Teaching Reform and Management Improvement Project, the Notice on Application for Organizing the 2023 MBA Textbook Construction Project, and the Notice on the Evaluation for Selection of the "Most Popular Teacher" and other awards in 2020. He hoped that MBA teachers would actively participate and looked forward to the Central University of Finance and Economics MBA program achieving higher teaching quality and gaining more recognition and achievements through everyone's joint efforts, thus becoming an even more excellent MBA program in the future.

Zhu Fei, Deputy Director of the MBA Education Center and Deputy Dean of the Business School, Central University of Finance and Economics, presented a research report on the high-quality development of the Central University of Finance and Economics MBA program. In terms of MBA admission and tuition data, Zhu Fei analyzed the situation of relevant institutions of higher education and pointed out that the MBA program of the Central University of Finance and Economics had a large scale of admissions and was among the top in Beijing. However, the tuition fee was at a medium level. He emphasized that achieving higher-quality construction and development should be based on thorough discussion and analysis. Zhu Fei introduced the structure of MBA lecturers and supervisors and the overall situation of each stage of MBA graduation papers in the past five years. He also conducted a detailed analysis of the quality of MBA papers and provided feedback on the latest survey results on the optimization of MBA ability indicators. Finally, Zhu Fei stated that the MBA Education Center would build on the fruitful achievements of the past 20 years, explore the positioning and strategy for brand renewal and iteration, and project reform and improvement, to provide guarantees for the high-quality development of the MBA program.

Zhang Hongyu, Associate Professor of the Business School, Central University of Finance and Economics, gave a themed speech on "The 'Trick' and 'Trap' in MBA Paper Writing." She analyzed the main content of the paper writing course and the MBA paper standard and pointed out that MBA papers should have practical, academic, and innovative characteristics. They should present real business management cases while combining cutting-edge topics to transform practical problems into theoretical ones, thus achieving a "three-fold" effect. Regarding the structure of the paper, she proposed three types of structural patterns: "problem-solving type," "experience introduction type," and "method application type." She also provided targeted interpretations for each type. She emphasized that MBA thesis writing should focus on the workload and the accuracy of data and materials. They offered valuable suggestions for the project's development, sharing their professional insights and expertise without reservation.
