Big News: “Supply Chain Management + Economic Statistics” Dual-degree Composite Talent Cultivation Program Is Approved

Recently, the Beijing Academic Degrees Committee issued the “Notice of the Beijing Academic Degrees Committee on the Announcement of the List of Dual-degree Composite Talent Cultivation Programs and Joint Bachelor's Degree Programs in 2024” (Jingxuewei [2024] No.2), and the “Supply Chain Management - Economic Statistics” jointly submitted by the Business School and the School of Statistics and Mathematics as applicants was approved. This program began to enroll students through the college entrance examination in 2024. The student who meets the graduation credit requirements stipulated in the talent cultivation plan and the school’s degree awarding standards will be awarded a dual bachelor’s degree in management and economics.

Based on the national development strategy and actual needs, this program gives full play to the comparative advantages of the disciplines, builds a new mechanism for cross-type talent cultivation in an innovative way and deeply integrates supply chain management and economic statistics, to cultivate the "Supply Chain Management+Economic Statistics" composite talents that place equal attention to both theories and practices for the country, to promote the upgrading of the supply chain digitalization and to develop new quality productive forces. The two undergraduate majors of Central University of Finance and Economics, i.e. Supply Chain Management and Economic Statistics, with strong disciplinary strengths and reasonable faculty structures, are national first-class undergraduate majors.

The successful application of this program will help our school further consolidate the foundation of undergraduate education and comprehensively improve our ability to cultivate cross-disciplinary undergraduate talents.
