Central University of Finance and Economics Selected as One of the Initial Corporate Case Study Research Bases Nationwide

On July 3, a seminar on the construction of corporate case study research bases was held in Beijing. This marked the beginning of the construction of case study research bases through a cooperation model of "famous enterprises + renowned scholars." The seminar was co-hosted by the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center under the Ministry of Education and the China Enterprise Confederation. Jiang Xiaojuan, the Chairman of the Expert Advisory Committee for the Construction of Professional Degree Cases in China, President of the China Society of Industrial Economics, and former Secretary-General of the State Council; Zhu Hongren, the Party Secretary, Executive Vice President, and Chairman of the China Enterprise Confederation; Tang Jiwei, the Second-Level Inspector of the Department of Degree Management and Graduate Education under the Ministry of Education, and Vice Chairman of the Expert Advisory Committee for the Construction of Professional Degree Cases in China; and Nie Qingbin, the Deputy Director of the Department of Social Sciences under the Ministry of Education, all attended the conference.

At the conference, Professor Ma Haitao, the President of our university and a member of the Expert Advisory Committee for the Construction of Professional Degree Cases in China, was appointed as the chief expert of the first corporate case study research bases and invited to deliver a keynote speech. He pointed out that case studies provide practical and effective intellectual support for enriching theoretical systems and improving corporate management. In the future, the Central University of Finance and Economics will fully leverage the advantages of university-enterprise cooperation, establish inter-university and interdisciplinary teams, combine theory with practice, and facilitate the integration of the university's discipline development and specialty building with corporate practices. This will help build a Chinese-characteristic financial discipline system, academic system, and discourse system, summarize Chinese experiences, refine Chinese theories, and effectively communicate the Chinese story.

The conference held a certificate (appointment letter) awarding ceremony, where Zhu Hongren presented certificates to the representatives of the first 12 corporate case study research bases, and Jiang Xiaojuan presented appointment letters to the chief experts and team member representatives of the corporate case study research bases. Our university was selected as one of the first corporate case study research bases nationwide and will engage in in-depth cooperation with China Greatwall Technology Group Co., Ltd.

Currently, the expert team of the base includes research groups from the Business School, the School of Accounting, and the School of Finance of our university, as well as from Tongji University. Participating in the construction of the first corporate case study research bases nationwide is an important part of the discipline building activities of the Business School. With the continuous deepening of corporate case study research, the School is expected to achieve rich results in scientific research, talent cultivation, and industry-education integration.
