Celebrating Twenty Years of Excellence and Embarking on a New Journey - The Business School’s Alumni Conference on Development and the Launch Ceremony Marking the 20th Anniversary of the Business School and MBA Education Center Organized successfully

“Twenty years of growth and achievements, twenty years of esteemed recognition across the globe.” On June 10, 2023, The Business School’ Alumni Conference on Development and the Launch Ceremony Marking the 20th Anniversary of the Business School and MBA Education Center was grandly held at the Xueyuan South Road Campus of Central University of Finance and Economics. The launch ceremony was attended by over 60 guests, including: Fan Weihong, Member of the Party Standing Committee and Vice President of the Central University of Finance and Economics; Cheng Lifeng, Director of the Office of Alumni and Foundation Affairs, Secretary-General of the Alumni Association, and Secretary-General of the Education Foundation; Li Yuexin, Party Secretary of the Business School; Lin Song, Dean of the Business School and Director of the MBA Education Center; Yang Zhongying, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection of the Business School; Liu Xiaoyuan, Deputy Dean of the Business School; Zhu Fei, Deputy Director of the MBA Education Center and Deputy Dean of the Business School; Wang Zhimei, Party Organizer of the Business School; Liu Zhizhong, President of the Beijing Branch Liaison Office of the Alumni Association; Zhang Geng, President of the Business School Branch of the Alumni Association; Feng Daren, President of the MBA Branch of the Alumni Association; and representatives of teachers, counselors, alumni, and current students. Fan Weihong, Member of the Party Standing Committee and Vice President of the Central University of Finance and Economics, delivered the opening remarks. In his opening remarks, Vice President Fan Weihong highlighted the university's successes in party building leadership, disciplinary development, scientific research breakthroughs, talent cultivation, social service, and internationalization. He pointed out that over the past twenty years, the pioneers of the Business School and the MBA Education Center have led batches of students from excellence to distinction. They have not only forged a distinctive and international path of development but have also achieved a series of remarkable accomplishments. These achievements are the result of the collective efforts of all faculty, students, and alumni, embodying everyone's hard work and dedication. Looking to the future, the Business School and the MBA Education Center must remain true to their original aspirations, fulfill their mission of nurturing talent, and strive for innovation and transformation. They should aim to produce more leaders and offer more advanced management insights. Moreover, they should steadfastly advance their unique and globalized approach to education, ensuring they remain relevant to the evolving demands of the global economy and society. We look forward to all alumni taking the name card of Central University of Finance and Economics to various industries and all corners of the world, showcasing their individual talents and achieving their respective goals. Vice President Fan Weihong Delivered a Speech

In her remarks, Cheng Lifang, Director of the Office of Alumni and Foundation Affairs, Secretary-General of the Alumni Association, and Secretary-General of the Education Foundation, extended warm congratulations on behalf of the Alumni Association and the 160,000 alumni all over the world to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Business School and the MBA Education Center. She noted that the progress of the alma mater is attributable to the steadfast backing of its alumni. Despite being scattered across the globe, the alumni always hold the mother school in their hearts. They support the mother school's construction in various ways, such as offering advice on its development, generously donating to improve its educational conditions, or facilitating exchanges and cooperation, significantly promoting the mother school's advancement in all fields. Director Cheng sincerely hoped that all alumni will continue to care about the developments of the mother school, contributing their wisdom and talents to the "double first-class" construction of the mother school, and working together to make the mother school even better!

In his speech, Liu Zhizhong, President of the Beijing Branch Liaison Office of the Alumni Association, recounted the 20-year development journey from the Department of Economics and Management to the Business School of Central University of Finance and Economics. He noted that over the past 20 years, the Business School has cultivated and provided a large number of outstanding talents to both the government and business sectors. The 20th anniversary of the Business School was the starting point of a new journey, with great potential for future development. He expected the Business School to continue to grow and develop with the support of the faculty and students, cultivating more outstanding talents and further enhancing its reputation in the industry and society.

President Liu Zhizhong delivered a speech

In his address, Zhang Geng, President of the Business School Branch of the Alumni Association, expressed his gratitude to the mother school. The grand painting of the past twenty years has been unfolded, and the brilliant tomorrow is about to embark. Standing at a new historical starting point, he hoped that the development of the Business School would be driven by innovation; vitality would be stimulated by reform, and an open posture would always be maintained. With a spirited attitude, the Business School should take advantage of the opportunities and cultivate more talents in economics and management, empowering the construction of China's real economy. In the new era and new journey, he looked forward to opening a new chapter in the development of the Business School.

In his address, Feng Daren, President of the MBA Branch of the Alumni Association, recounted his experience of founding an alumni enterprise with his fellow alumni. He noted that the growth and development of the alumni enterprise are inseparable from the robust support of the teachers and friends at the mother school. Over the past twenty years, the vicissitudes of time have given every alumnus wings of hope and forged an indomitable character among those with ambitions. The alumni of the Business School and MBA are sure to align with the new era, continuously gathering the energy to scale new heights, and composing splendid chapters as Central University of Finance and Economics alumni in various fields and industries around the world.

Subsequently, Vice President Fan Weihong, Director Cheng Lifang, Secretary Li Yuexin, Dean Lin Song, President Liu Zhizhong, President Zhang Geng, and President Feng Daren were invited to approach the large screen. In the presence of all attendees, they pressed the start button, marking the official commencement of the series of activities celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Business School and the MBA Education Center.

Dean Lin Song released the event plan for the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Business School and the MBA Education Center, and explained the theme and concept of the series of activities. He pointed out that the Business School will adhere to the principles of grandeur, practicality, distinctiveness, and warmth. A series of significant activities will be held, including a 20th-anniversary themed special issue, Campus Open Day/Alumni Homecoming Day, Alumni Themed Fund Construction, Alumni Enterprise Visit, School Anniversary Cultural and Sports Activities, and the 20th Anniversary Celebration Conference. He extended a sincere invitation to alumni worldwide, hoping they will actively participate in the 20th-anniversary celebration activities and make greater contributions to the construction and development of the Business School.
