"International Marketing” Recognized as One of the Second State-level First-class Undergraduate Online Courses by the Ministry of Education

Recently, the Ministry of Education officially announced the results of the second state-level first-class undergraduate courses. Professor Cui Xinjian’s course "International Marketing" from the Department of Marketing at the Business School was honored on the list of online courses.

The "International Marketing" course targets the forefront of higher education and academic fields both domestically and internationally. Based on over 30 years of teaching and curriculum reform experience, the course team distilled the 13 chapters across 4 sections of the Quality Textbook for Higher Education in Beijing “International Marketing (3rd Edition)” into a MOOC system comprising 33 key knowledge points. To accommodate learners with different starting points, the online course balances the requirements of credit recognition for university students and the needs of general learners. It emphasizes foundational and theoretical knowledge while expanding the core knowledge scope of international marketing, thereby building a scientific and flexible course knowledge system. The course fully leverages information technology to innovate teaching methods, incorporating best practices from Chinese enterprises. It enriches the teaching platform and online resources with a variety of online exercises, skill training, and interactive discussions. The course has been offered for eight sessions, with nearly 40,000 learners participating cumulatively. More than 50 institutions of higher education have used the MOOC to establish SPOC courses. The course has received high praise from teachers and learners across the country.

The Business School has been placing a high priority on improving the quality of undergraduate education. Through a series of measures, including the construction of a learning support system, funding for educational reform projects, and specialized lectures on teaching methods, the school promotes faculty teaching reforms and enhances classroom instruction effectiveness.
