The Business School Hosted the 2023 Summer Academic Forum for Doctoral Students
From June 5 to 9, the 2023 Summer Academic Forum for Doctoral Students of the Business School was held in Conference Room 602 of the Main Teaching Building. The forum invited several esteemed faculty members as commentators, including Professors Yu Guangtao and Xu Zhaoming, Associate Professor Liu Wei, and Assistant Professor Ji Yueting, from the Department of Organization and Human Resource Management; Professor Zhou Liguo, Associate Professor Qian Cheng, and Assistant Professor Mou Shandong from the Department of Supply Chain and Operations Management; Professor Yang Changhan and Assistant Professor Gao Zhennan from the Department of Finance and Financial Management; Associate Professor Gu Leilei from the Department of Marketing; and Assistant Professor Li Jiapeng from the Department of Strategy. 18 doctoral students from various grades presented their research findings or research proposals at the forum.
The forum was divided into four groups based on the research areas of the presenters: Group 1 was focused on Organization and Human Resource Management, Group 2 on Marketing and Strategy, Group 3 on Finance and Financial Management, and Group 4 on Supply Chain and Operations Management. The doctoral students presented on various aspects of their research, including the background, content, and challenges they encountered during the writing process. The commentator guests provided specific guidance and suggestions for each topic and answered the students' questions in detail. The audience actively participated in the discussions. The forum was characterized by a vibrant atmosphere of academic exchange, where the clash of ideas sparked new academic inspiration.
The Academic Forum for Doctoral Students of the Business School embodies the school’s mission to "contribute new knowledge to management." It aims to provide a platform for doctoral students to exchange ideas, share experiences, enrich their knowledge, and foster friendships. The forum encourages doctoral students to address major issues in China's economic and social development by integrating Chinese management practices with cutting-edge management theories This initiative promotes active engagement in management research and enhances the students' sense of responsibility and mission in studying Chinese issues and telling Chinese stories.
