The 2nd Session of Media Literacy Bootcamp | The Visit to Sina Headquarters and the Corporate Visits for Expansion of Job Opportunities Concluded successfully
To gain insight into the corporate culture, comprehend the working atmosphere of the enterprise up close, and guide students to apply media literacy and marketing thinking to practice, the Business School sent the trainees of the 2nd Session of Media Literacy Bootcamp to visit Sina's headquarters on June 20 for in-depth experience of corporate culture. The visiting teachers and students listened carefully to the Weibo marketing cases and carry out exchange on Corporate Visits for Expansion of Job Opportunities, having gained a lot.
Ma Zheng, Business Operations Manager of Sina Weibo, and Lin Jiaying and Li Jierou, Business Ecology Market Planners rolled out the welcome mat. Dong Shuo, Executive Director of the Career Development Center, the Business School, and Xu Jingting, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, headed the group visit and negotiated university-enterprise cooperation with Sina.
Ma Zheng led the students to visit the entire Sina headquarters. The students were deeply impressed by the high-end office facilities and comfortable and spacious office environment. Ms. Ma explained the company's various functional areas in detail, especially the fitness area with a wide range of sports equipment. According to her, Sina attaches great importance to the physical fitness of its employees. The exquisite design, warm lighting and free atmosphere showed students a company that not only pays attention to innovation and development, but also values humanistic care.
The students went deep into the office space of Sina employees, having visited the reading room, seminar room, and rest area in sequence under direction of Ma Zheng. The ubiquitous coffee shops, the Sina mascot ("Xiaolang Zai") in the center of the hall, and the neat and convenient staff canteen offered students a glimpse into Sina's vibrant and youthful spirit.
During the roundtable discussion, Ms. Ma Zheng provided a concise overview of Sina Weibo's "Roll-on V Plan" to the students. She guided everyone to shift their perspective from the Weibo user side to the corporate side, in order to better understand the operation mode and general process of Weibo, deepen insights into the "Roll-on V Plan" program, and foster a fresh perspective on Sina.
Ms. Li Jierou delivered a highly informative presentation on "Full-chain Weibo Platform Value Marketing" to the students. She began by introducing some common social media platforms, and then expanded on Weibo's marketing positioning, having showcased several cases of Weibo marketing. The students actively expressed their views and collaborated with the teacher to analyze the inherent logic of Weibo content marketing from various phenomena. Ms. Li Jiurou stressed that the new generation of young people should develop innovative thinking, continuously uncover new things based on the achievements of their predecessors, create new things, and stay at the forefront of their field. Later, Ms. Li Jiurou discussed the functions and impacts of Weibo from three perspectives. The students also shared their views and questions based on their daily experiences using the platform. Ms. Li patiently provided professional explanations and responses, vividly illustrating the potential value of Sina Weibo as a full-media content platform.
Ms. Ma Zheng provided a detailed introduction to the "Roll-on V Plan" program, showcasing its specific schedule. She encouraged the students to keep participating actively and expressed her hope that they would have more opportunities to become "New Wave" on Weibo in the future. She guided everyone to shift their perspective from the user side to the corporate side of Weibo to better comprehend its operational model and general processes. This was to achieve a deeper comprehension of the "Roll-on V Plan" program and to gain a fresh appreciation for Sina. Ms. Ma Zheng encouraged everyone to broaden their minds, flexibly apply operational and planning mindsets, learn to be proactive in learning, and not fear making mistakes. She urged them to gradually discover the direction they wish to take in life. Ms. Ma Zheng expressed her hope that more fresh talent would join Weibo, infusing it with young energy and creating more spaces for innovation in society.
