The Fourth Session of Academic Forum of Excellence 2023 of the Business School for the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Establishment of the Business School and the MBA Education Center Successfully Organized
On May 15, 2023, the Business School held the Fourth Session of Academic Forum of Excellence 2023 of the Business School for the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Establishment of the Business School and the MBA Education Center online via Tencent Meeting. The lecture invited Professor Ying Kei Tse from the Business School of Cardiff University, UK. Approximately thirty participants, including faculty members, doctoral students, master's students, and undergraduates from our School, attended the event.
Professor Liu Xiaohong from the Department of Supply Chain and Operations Management of the Business School presided over the lecture and introduced Professor Tse's credentials. Professor Tse is a professor at the Business School of Cardiff University, UK. His primary research fields include supply chain quality management, risks and resilience in supply chain, big data analysis, social media data mining, and sustainable supply chains. Professor Tse has published over 50 SCI/SSCI indexed papers in top academic journals within his field and holds positions as an associate editor and guest editor for related journals.
The title of Professor Tse's lecture was "The Impact of Relocation Strategy on Brand Trustworthiness and Word-of-Mouth: Experimental Vignette Research on the US Fashion Industry." This study, taking Nike as an example, explored the effect of a multinational company's relocation strategy on brand trustworthiness and word-of-mouth from the consumer's perspective by setting up four different scenarios.
Following the sharing session, the teachers and students who participated in the lecture discussed and exchanged ideas on topics including data processing, experimental design, research method selection, and sample selection, based on Professor Tse's lecture theme. This further enhanced the in-depth academic exchange.
