The Competition of Teaching Innovation for Teachers of Institutions of Higher Education, approved by the Ministry of Education and included in the Retained Items List of Three Evaluations and One Competition for Direct Subordinate Organizations of the Ministry of Education,” is the only teaching competition for college teachers currently on the list. The competition aims to implement the fundamental task of strengthening virtue and cultivating talent, support the development of ideological and political elements in college courses, and the construction of new engineering, new medicine, new agriculture, and new liberal arts disciplines, and promote the integration and innovative development of information technology with teaching in higher education. Professor Ji Yueting's teaching team, which teaches the course "Organizational Behavior," has innovatively proposed the "Three-Dimensional Drive" teaching technique from the perspective of motivation internalization. This technique aims to promote college students’ transformation of external learning motivation into internal learning motivation by addressing three aspects, i.e., meeting the need for autonomy, for competence, and relatedness, thereby facilitating the transition from surface learning to deep learning and transfer learning. The course team has conducted systematic innovative exploration and summarization in various aspects, including teaching models, teaching techniques, teaching content design, and teaching resource construction. These efforts have comprehensively enhanced students' learning experience and advanced their higher-order learning outcomes. In addition to improving students' professional competence, the team has also guided them in shaping correct values, thereby contributing to the cultivation of top-tier talents at the college and university levels.
The Business School has been valuing education & teaching and the cultivation of top-tier talents. During the competition, the college made great efforts in various aspects, including competition organization, teaching seminars, experience coaching, and administrative support. Through a number of exchange discussions, the college called up participating teachers to refine their teaching concepts, content, techniques, and evaluation criteria. Additionally, the college provided meticulous guidance for the participating teachers' recording sessions. Winning this competition will provide the college with valuable experience for its teaching and learning practices and its efforts for developing top-tier talents.
