The Business School successfully Held the Opening Ceremony for Its Sixth "Big Data Elite Class"
On April 13, 2024, the sixth "Big Data Elite Class" was successfully initiated by the Marketing Department of the Business School at the Central University of Finance and Economics. The opening ceremony took place at the Main Teaching Building on the Xueyuan South Road Campus. Li Ji, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Section of the Central University of Finance and Economics, Yang Zhongying, Deputy Secretary of the Business School, and Ling Ruobing, a teacher from the Marketing Department, were present at this event. Meanwhile, the new students of the "Big Data Elite Class” from various majors and grades also participated in the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Gu Leilei, Director of the Marketing Department.
The conference invited Li Ji, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Section, to give an address. Li Ji recounted the development history of the "Big Data Elite Class" to everyone. Since its inception in 2016, the Big Data Elite Class has cultivated a large number of composite talents in data analysis. Following the upgrading and adjustment of the curriculum, this elite class sets sail again with more high-quality teaching content. Li Ji hoped that everyone could value this learning opportunity and complete each course with diligence and solidity.
Subsequently, Yang Zhongying, Deputy Secretary of the Business School, introduced the reasons and objectives for opening the Big Data Elite Class to everyone. Yang Zhongying emphasized that the Big Data Elite Class is a project based on the Big Data Marketing major and is open to all students in the university. It aims to help students master the tools and methods required for big data analysis, such as text mining and generalized regression models, and to cultivate their ability to independently use data analysis tools to solve practical problems for enterprises through practice-oriented education. Yang Zhongying also expressed her earnest expectations for the development of the new Big Data Elite Class and extended her deep concern and encouragement to the teachers who have dedicated their efforts and the students who have studied diligently.
The opening ceremony ended with enthusiastic applause from the students, and the courses for the new Big Data Elite Class promptly commenced. With the robust support of the university and school leadership, we believe that the "Big Data Elite Class" will nurture more and more outstanding talents!
