On the morning of June 7, 2024, the Business School held the 22nd Session of the Series of Academic Lectures Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of Central University of Finance and Economics and the 7th Session of the Excellent Academic Forum Lecture Series in 2024 at the Conference Room 615 of the Main Teaching Building on theXueyuanSouth Road Campus of the Central University of Finance and Economics. Associate professor Zhang Si from the School of Economics and Management of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences was invited as the guest speaker of this lecture. More than 20 people from the Business School, including teachers, doctoral students and master students, attended this event.

This meeting was chaired by assistant professor LiuZixufrom the Business School. Before theofficial start of this lecture,ProfessorLiuZixu introduced associate professor Zhang Si’s resume in detail. Zhang Si is an associate professor of the School of Economics and Management of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, a postdoctoral fellow at Tsinghua University, a master's degree and a doctor of economics from the University of Reading, UK. He has been engaged in technological innovation economics, international business and strategic research. At present, he serves as deputy director of the editorial board of Management Review, deputy director and secretary-general of the International Business Committee of the Chinese Institute of Business Administration, a researcher at the Technology Innovation Research Center of Tsinghua University, and director of the 8th Council of the Chinese Association of Science of Science and S&T Policy Research. He has published more than 10 papers as the first author or corresponding author in SSCI Zone I journals and domestic core journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management and R&D management, which are included in the database of copies of newspapers and periodicals ofRenminUniversity of China.

The topic of Professor Zhang Si’s lecture is “Research on New Quality Productivity in Core Journals”. From the perspective of a journal editor, Professor Zhang Si deeply analyzed the column structure and submission points of Management Review, and explained the internal logic of the topic selection in combination with the column "Accelerating the Collaborative Development of Digitalization andGreenization, Promoting the Rapid Formation of New Quality Productivity" of the journal. Besides, it explored the triangular relationship among digitalization, greening and new productivity, the method innovation and the potential contribution to academic circles and practical areas, and provided breakthrough ideas for high-quality research topics.

After the sharing, with regard to the topic of Professor Zhang's lecture, the attending teachers and students actively participated in the discussion about topic selection of academic papers, research design and publication of high-level papers and so on, further deepening their academic exchanges.
